LWV presents candidate debates on TV

In order to give the greatest number of voters access to the information presented at the League of Women Voters Candidate Forums held last week will be televised.

The "Comal County Candidate Forum"  included candidates for the Comal I.S.D. school board and for the Bulverde City Council. 

These candidates participated in a League of Women Voters candidate Forum held on Monday, April 18, at the GVTC Auditorium. 

That forum will be shown on Time-Warner Cable Company's local access channel, Channel 20, on Sunday, May 1 at 11:00 a.m. and again on Tuesday, May 3 at 10:30 a.m.  

In addition, the Guadalupe Valley Telecommunications Cooperative (GVTC) will air the forums on their local access channel, Channel 14,

The Comal County Candidate Forum will air on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of this week at 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. 

GVTC was responsible for covering the cost of the filming of this candidate forum. 

The League of Women Voters held a second Candidate Forum in New Braunfels at City Hall on Tuesday, April 19.  That forum included the two candidates for mayor, the candidates for the two open city council positions, and a discussion of the 39 amendments to the city charter. 

This forum, "City of New Braunfels Candidate Forum",  will be shown on Time-Warner Cable's Channel 20 on Tuesday, May 3 at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
