Moving Waters Pow Wow this weekend

American Indian arts, crafts, foods, music & dance will be featured at the 9th Annual Moving Waters PowWow on October 16th & 17th, 2004 at the Community Resource and Recreation Center on River Road below Canyon Dam. Booths open at 11:00 AM both days.

Dancing starts at approximately 12 noon. Admission: $2 - (under 6 free). No alcohol, pets, or coolers please. This two day celebration of Native American culture brings many of the finest American Indian dancers, artists, musicians, and storytellers together to share their heritage with us. PowWow dances are based on traditional dances that were once part of spiritual ceremonies, preparation for war, healing rituals or celebrations of triumph. Authentic regalia, songs, stories and dances carry on the cultural heritage and Indian identity from one generation to the next.
