The flu vaccine is recommended annually for individuals with chronic health problems and for all individuals 60 years and older. The vaccine is a combination of three killed virus strains, which are expected by the Center for Disease Control to e those which will cause the most problems for Americans during this flu season. Because the viruses are "killed," they are not capable of producing illness. Vaccine supplies are plentiful.
