Startzville wreck update
The Texas Department of Public Safety has provided an update on the traffic accident November 26 in Startzville reported previously.
At approximately 12:54 p.m. that Friday, a 1998 blue Ford Expedition driven by Ronald C. Murrah, 56, of Canyon Lake, traveling on Startz Rd. allegedly failed to yield to oncoming traffic on FM 2673 and was hit by a 1985 brown Ford XLT pickup driven by Rose E. Easley, 43, also of Canyon Lake.
TX-DPS Trooper Hacksworth investigated. Of the seven passengers in the Murrah vehicle, four were airlifted to area hospitals: The driver, Ronald Murrah, and his wife Sheryl, 57, were airlifted to Brook Army Medical Center in San Antonio. Passengers Kathy Orgeron, 40, and Lani Orgeron, 6, both of Youngsville, LA, were airlifted to University Hospital in San Antonio. The driver of the other vehicle, Easley, was also airlifted to University Hospital.
Easley and Lani Orgeron were treated and released, Kathy Orgeron was released to a care facility on December 4.
Ronald Murrah was discharged from BAMC on December 2 and Sheryl Murrah was discharged on December 6.
