C.L.A.S.S. to hold “Bark-B-Que”

The Canyon Lake Animal Shelter Society (C.L.A.S.S.) will be holding its Eighth Annual Bark-B-Que on Saturday, June 16.

Due to the expansion of kennel space on the concrete slab, C.L.A.S.S. will be serving take away plates at The Icehouse on FM 2673 in Startzville from 11.m. to 3 p.m. (Across the street from Dairy Queen.)

Jim McKee, prize winning barbeque chef, will be cooking this years’ meats for the eighth year in a row. C.L.A.S.S wishes to thank Jim for donating his time and talent.

Side dishes of potato salad, coleslaw and pinto beans will accompany the meats. Pickles, onions, peppers and bread complete the main course.

If you are a merchant or individual and wish to donate food items or if you can spare the gift of time to volunteer for the event, please contact the shelter at (830) 905-7387 at your earliest convenience. We will also have extra hands to help unload food and supply donations on the day of the event.

The annual Bark-B-Que is a favorite for the community as well as volunteers and staff alike. This year promises to be no different. All proceeds will benefit C.L.A.S.S. and its homeless friends.

Please come on out and support Comal County’s largest “no-kill” animal shelter.
